flexible table sizes etc 7 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Hi, I’m very interested in purchasing this great product, however, before I fully commit myself, I’d like to ask a few quick questions.
1. Is it possible to have flexible tables? i.e. the system join 2 tables for a larger party etc.? I know this question has been asked >7 months ago. And your answer was that this was to be introduced into development? Has this happened? Or will it happen and if so when?
2. Our clients have a flexible way of allocating the number of available tables, i.e. during busy hours, they get a greater number of walk in guests, hence the number of tables allocated for pre-booking is lower and during less busy times, they can obviously offer a greater number of tables online. Is there any way of doing this?
3. How easy/difficult would it be to integrate TableBoss into an existing website? We currently run AMP on a oneandone.co.uk, linux based hosting. Our site is written in PHP. Would we be able to install Joomla on a new directory and link to just the reservation wizard through our existing webpages?

Thank you in advance for a wonderful package.
Kind regards,
Zehn AL-Rashid

We are not sure if we will add the ability to Combine/Split tables due to the complexity, although we haven't ruled it out for a future release. We are exploring however reserving multiple tables simultaneously by dragging a marquee around them.

The only way to control this now is to reserve tables at the times that you want to save for walk-ins manually via the "Reservation Desk". They will then not be available for reservation via the wizard.

This is very doable. Please refer to this post. >>> http://tableboss.com/component/option,com_fireboard/Itemid,51/func,view/id,361/catid,15/lang,en/

So from a non restaurateur...what's the work around for not being able to combine tables? Maybe call for reservations more than x number?

Also:

Are there any mootools issues I need to be aware of in regards to other templates? I.E Rocket Theme etc.?

Can the 1.5 Version be wrapped as a demo like the 1.0.x version in a previous post?

Cheers,

Rich
